The Mysterious Mail Clue by Clue
A man mails himself two letters. When he receives the letters, he looks at the front of the envelope. Then he throws them away without opening them.
Why does he do this?
Can you figure it out in 10 clues?
The man had recently gotten a new job.
The new job required him to move to the capital of his country.
The man had been hired to fix serious problems at his new place of work.
On his way to the capital, he stopped at two cities. In each city, he put a letter in a post office mailbox.
Both letters were addressed to his new home in the capital.
Both letters contained one blank piece of paper.
The piece of paper was ordinary, white paper that he bought in a normal stationery store.
The first city was a two day’s drive north of the city. The second city was one day’s drive east of the city.
Both letters took five days to arrive.
The day after the letters came, he called a meeting of the regional managers. He told them he was very disappointed with them and there would have to be big changes!
