Solution to The Easter Egg Enigma Clue by Clue

José is helping the gangster hide where his money comes from. The gangster gets money from criminal activities, such as selling drugs. It gives the money to José and other people like him. José uses the money to buy something from the auction. So, the gangster gets the money back. So the gangster pretends he earns money from the auctions. This is called money laundering. José makes money by selling the egg. Remember that he bought the egg using the gangster’s money so he can keep the $300,000 the customer paid.
